Behind Alive Inside

I created the idea of ‘Alive Inside’ in September 2016 and published this corner of the internet in February 2017. It’s been so long! Taking time away and constantly coming back to it when I feel compelled. It’s beautiful that I’ve kept this space for myself.

It originally started as Alive Inside Media: an opportunity for me to write about music and interview artists. It then evolved into a journal documenting my life, changes, coming out journey, and grief. Now in year 8 of my little corner of the internet we are doing a small rebrand to represent my growth and changes.

I hope you’ll join me on this journey. It feels right to put my thoughts down. It’s not easy to be vulnerable and honest. Any time I am authentically honest - change and life grows from it. Now more than ever I feel so compelled to continue sharing. I hope you’ll join me.

When I was a kid I remember saying “I didn’t want the white picket fence life.” I wanted a life completely different than one I’ve seen before. I spent a lot of my 20s fighting for a dream only I could see. I’m still fighting for a life different from what the world tells you to have. I love that part of myself. When I’m not working my full time job in music - I’m at the gym, traveling for music or to the ocean and always creating something new. I currently reside in North Carolina with her partner, Lew.
