New Music Love: Ruelle

Even though I just started listening to Ruelle yesterday, I have actually been listening to her for over a year and possibly longer. You probably think you just discovered her right now as well, but have heard her music for years.

One of my favorite new shows is The Shannara Chronicles. I started watching it last year when it premiered. It you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you watch it. It has action, adventure, and the adorably beautiful, Austin Butler. I recently re-watched the first season to refresh my memory when the second season comes out (fingers crossed) this summer.

While I was watching it, I started to fall in love with the theme song again. I loved listening to it at the beginning of each episode, but it wasn't enough. I wanted to dive further into her music and who she was as an artist. That is how I fell in love with Ruelle's music. Her voice is so soulful and powerfully filled with emotion.

There is some music out there that just captures your soul and makes you feel with it in the first thirty seconds of listening to it. Ruelle has this power over her listeners. Once you dive into her songs, you won't want to stop. You feel powerful and like a rebel listening to her songs. I promise you will fall in love with Ruelle too.

So what is the amazing song that got me so obsessed? That would be "Until We Go Down." Ruelle describes her music as cinematic and that is exactly what this song is! Here is the opening sequence to The Shannara Chronicles, the full version song of "Until We Go Down:"

"Until We Go Down"

It is on another level of music. One of my favorite lines being, "I feel it running through my veins and I need that fire just to know that I'm awake."

"Until We Go Down" isn't my only favorite song from Ruelle. I'm sure it won't be yours either! "Deep End" and "Up in Flames" are both insanely great cinematic songs.

The awesome thing about Ruelle's music is you can listen to it doing anything. You can listen to it writing, at the gym, or even just jamming out by yourself in your room. The music gives you energy and brightens your mood while giving you the courage to do anything. Ruelle recently retweeted someone who said listening to her music helps them be creative. I completely agree. (I listened to her while writing this!)

Go add Ruelle to your Spotify artists and shuffle her music. You won't regret it. If you discover any favorites that give you chills and takeover your soul - make sure to send them my way in the comment section below!

& with that - - - Ruelle is added to the list of artists I must see live this year! Until she goes on tour, I'll be having my own Ruelle concert in my room.
